Privacy Policy

Rosie Waters is collecting and storing your personal data for the purpose of contacting you if necessary, whilst you are having counselling with her. She may need to contact you to either arrange, change, cancel or confirm an appointment. This personal data includes your name, address, telephone number and email address.

It may become necessary to share your data with other professionals, to include your GP, Mental Health Workers or the Police, if it considered there is significant risk of harm to yourself, or others, or if there are concerns about illegal acts, such as terrorism or money laundering, or court  summons. Therefore, your date of birth is also recorded.

If through sudden serious illness, accident or death I am no longer able to work, your data will be passed to my supervisor who will contact you.

Your personal data will be stored in a secure locked storage cabinet for the duration of the counselling relationship. Once counselling has ended  your personal data will be destroyed as confidential waste.

The destroying of data does not apply to clinical session notes, which for insurance reasons need to be kept for a period of 7 years and then destroyed thereafter.
